Services for Patricia Ann Johnsen, 79 of Omaha who died November 22, 1992 in Blair were Wednesday, November 25 at Heafey & Heafey-Hoffman Dworak-Cutler West Center Chapel in Omaha. Rev. Tyler Schenzel officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
Patricia Ann Johnsen was born June 5, 1913 in Topeka, Kansas to Agnes Deloski and Anton Palubecki. They moved to Wisconsin and then to Omaha while she was a baby.
She attended school through the eighth grade as was common in that time and then worked as housekeeper-cook for a Jewish lady who resided by Creighton University. It was while she was employed there that she met her husband, Anton W. Johnsen. They were married June 22, 1935.
She entered and won many cooking contests and published a cookbook for her family in 1991.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Blanche Pangonis.
She is survived by her husband, Anton W.; a daughter and son-in-law, Aggie and Jim Stratman, Bennington; a son and daughter-in-law, Frank R. and Mary Lois Johnsen of Blair; a sister, Millie Felinski, Omaha; a brother, Tony Palubecki, Gretna; brothers-in-law, Conrad F. and Lester E. Johnsen, Blair; 12 grandchildren, Randy johnsen, Jeremy Johnsen and Tony Johnsen, all of Blair; Jim Stratman, Jr. and Janece Stratman, Melissa Stratman and Julie and Paul Dotzler, all of Bennington; Mike and Pam Stratman and John Stratman of Valley, Denise and Steve Olsen, Montgomery, Illinois; Debi and Paul Sornson, Wichita, Kansas; Rick and Joi Stratman of Omaha and Bruce and Diane Stratman of Kennard and 23 great-grandchildren.
Her grandchildren, Randy Johnson, Mike Stratman, Rick Stratman, Jim Stratman, Jr., John Stratman and Bruce Stratman were pallbearers.
Rec. Dave Collins was organist. Deb Reno was soloist.
Memorials have been suggested to Trinity Church-Interdenominational, 15555 West Dodge Road in Omaha.
