MRS. O.M. IRELAND RITES SATURDAY
Mrs. O.M. Ireland passed away Wednesday, October 16, at the Masonic Home at Plattsmouth, where she had been a guest for the past few years.
Deceased was born February 8, 1864, at Anawan, Illinois. She was married to O.M. Ireland on June 15, 1880, at Leon, Iowa, and shortly after that came to this state where they made their home and where their family was raised.
Six children were born to them, four of whom are living. They are Void of Blair; Clifford and Louie of Omaha; and Mrs. Lillie Huff of Louisville, Nebraska.
The husband passed on some months ago and Mrs. Ireland has been lonely since that time. She was ill about three days, having suffered a stroke which ended a long and useful life.
She was a member of the Christian Church and an active Eastern Star worker, having been a member for forty-four years.
Funeral services will be held next Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Bendorf Funeral Home and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Ireland Dies at 82
WELL-KNOWN BLAIRITE DIED LAST NIGHT; RITES TO BE SATURDAY
Mrs. O.M. Ireland, 82, well-known resident of Blair for more than 60 years, died last evening at the Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, where she had made her home recently. Her death followed by slightly more than a year that of her husband, who died July 11, 1945.
Funeral services, it was stated today by the family, will be held at 2pm Saturday at the Bendorf Funeral Home, Galen Mundhenk of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Blair cemetery.
Mrs. Ireland was born at Annawan, Illinois, February 3, as Charlotte Gochenouer. She and Mr. Ireland were married at Leon, Iowa June 15, 1880, and three years later moved to Blair. They farmed for several years, but later took up residence at 204 West Colfax Street, where they remained many years.
The Irelands celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1940 at their home here.
For 44 years Mrs. Ireland was a member of the Order of Eastern Star here.
Surviving Mrs. Ireland are three sons, Void Ireland of Blair, Clifford and Louis Ireland of Omaha, and one daughter, Mrs. Lillie Huff of Louisville, Nebraska. Two children preceded her in death, Otto Ireland of Crete, Nebraska and Mrs. Ollie Rasmussen of Spiker, Nebraska
Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. G.G. Hines of Blair; a half-sister, Mrs. Mary Knowington of Omaha; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Lou W. Latta, died here several months ago.
