Sister Dies In Schuyler
Funeral services were held Friday, November 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Schuyler for Clara W. Gewecke, 81, of Schuyler, who died November 17, 1981, at Memorial Hospital in Schuyler after a four-year illness.
Rev. Robert J. Pierce conducted the services. Burial was in the Ohiowa Public Cemetery, Ohiowa.
Clara W. Gewecke was born July 4, 1900, at Tobias. She lived in Schuyler for the last 36 years and lived in Filmore County before that.
She was married to Joseph F. Gewecke on March 9, 1922, in Tobias. She was a Gold Star Mother.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; two sons, Wesley Gewecke, of Chandler, Arizona; and Gaylord Gewecke of Schuyler; and one daughter, Mrs. Duane (Melvajean) Kluck of Richland. Eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Al (Amalia) Babe of Blair: Mrs. Ed (Lydia) Bahe of Dexter, Kansas, Mrs. William (Freida) Goede of Loveland, Colorado; Mrs. Howard (Adeline) Kahler of Greeley, Colorado, and Mrs. A. I. (Gertrude) Trautwein of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and one brother, Rev. William Most, Loveland, Colorado, also survive her.
Kucera-Rozanek Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements for the services.
