Lyle E. Gilbert Dies May 13 In Blair Hospital

Lyle E. Gilbert, 52, of Webster City, Iowa, died May 13 at Blair Memorial Community Hospital.

Gilbert, a truck driver and veteran of World War II, was born Feb. 13, 1924, to Lyle Gilbert and Mary Hain and was married to Marian Nielsen.

He is survived by his wife, Marian, of Webster City, his mother, Mrs. Emory (Mary) Fahrney of Battle Lake, Minn., a brother, Marshall of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and three children, Tim Gilbert, of Sioux City, Iowa, Jon Gilbert of Jefferson, Iowa, and Mrs. Keith (Debra) Clapper of South Sioux City, Neb.

Campbell Mortuary memorial services were held at 2 p.m. May 15 with the Rev. Gordon Patterson officiating. Music was provided by Clare Cowing. The remains were cremated.
