Services for Fred Eckert of Wayne, formerly of Fremont were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 28, at Zion Congregational Church at Carrol. Eckert, 74, died Monday, December 25, of an apparent heart attack.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bertha A. Brown, of Fremont.

Other survivors who live in this area are three brothers, Harold and Bob, Fremont and Herman, Cedar Bluffs; and sisters, Mrs. Woodrow (Peggy) Kincanon, Fremont, and Mrs. Wayne (Maude) Cotton, Arlington.

Eckert also is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter, nine grandchildren, and six other sisters.

Burial was December in Norfolk
