Former Wash. County Woman Died In Colorado

Word was received by friends of the death of Mrs. Alta Gaines Lewis of Sterling, Colorado, on Nov. 30. She was 82 years of age and had been ill and hospitalized for some time.

Mrs. Lewis spent much of her girlhood in Washington Co., having lived on a farm east of Arlington, then in Arlington and after her marriage to J. T. Lewis, lived in Kennard where Mr. Lewis conducted a grocery store.

Sometime later they moved to Colo. Farming awhile and then moved to Denver. The Lewis’ moved to Sterling, Colo. During the past year so they could be near their two daughters.
