Services for Loraine Peterson, age 79 of Blair, who died at Memorial Community Hospital March 24, 1993, after a brief illness, were Monday, March 29, at the First United Methodist Church, with burial in the Blair Cemetery.
Loraine J. Peterson was born April 2, 1913, on a farm West of Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska, to Perry and Katie Lorenzen Tucker. She attended the Long Creek School and graduated from Ft. Calhoun High School.
She had been employed with Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, and later the Good Shepherd Home in Blair.
In June of 1940 she married Robert Peterson. They resided in Omaha until moving to Blair in 1948.
In September of 1978, her husband Robert died.
She is survived by a niece, Lonne Kay (Mrs. Carl) Mackie; a nephew, Tom Tucker, both of Blair, four great-nephews and great-nieces, Elizabeth (Mrs. John) Tyson, Herman; Sarah Mackie, Blair; Mike Mackie, Tekamah; and Matthew Mackie, Blair; four great-great-nephews and one cousin, Ed Lorenzen, Ft. Calhoun.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
