Petersen Funeral Held
Mrs. A. W. Petersen, 62, of Blair Long Ill; Lutheran Rites Yesterday
Mrs. Albert W. Petersen, 62, of 210 West Nebraska St., long ill with cancer, died Monday morning at University Hospital in Omaha.
The body was brought to the Bendorf Funeral Home. Rites were held at First Lutheran Church yesterday afternoon, the Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiating, and interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Katie Petersen, daughter of Hemming and Sophia Petersen, was born in the Rose Hill community Oct. 14, 1892. She and Albert W. Petersen were married Feb. 14, 1914. To them were born seven children. Mr. Petersen died July 2, 1941.
Mr. Petersen and family moved to Blair in 1945.
Surviving Mrs. Petersen are two sons, Harlan Petersen of Herman and Lloyd Petersen, at home; and five daughters, Mrs. Roy Plummer (Elaine) of Oakland, Miss Lois Petersen, at home, Mrs. Chester Larsen (Betty) of Herman, Mrs. Fred Vaca (Ruth) and Mrs. Harold Frahm (Mary Alice), both of Omaha. There are 11 grandchildren.
Also surviving Mrs. Petersen are two brothers, Lars Petersen of Blair and Jens L. Petersen of Omaha; and three sisters, Mrs. Fred Anderson, (Mary) of Blair, Mrs. Anna Broderson of Omaha and Mrs. Carrie Peterson of Fremont. A sister and a brother preceded her in death.
