Pilot 19 Jan 1916
Charles Wadleigh
Chas. Wadleigh, a brother of Mrs. E. F. Fassett, of Arlington, was one of the sixteen victims of the Mexican raid near Chihuahua last week. The men were miners going back to Mexico from the States, under promised military protection from the de facto government. They had a train load of supplies and thousands of dollars in currency, which the bandits wanted. Only one man escaped to tell the tale. It seems that Dr. Logan, who left Herman recently to accept a position in a hospital in Mexico, had planned to go on the same train, but missed it because his baggage did not arrive.
