J. Marian Andersen, 84, of Fremont, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

Visitation began Monday, and continues from 9 until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Oct. 16 in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont with the Rev. Roger Robertson of First Baptist Church officiating.

J. Marian Andersen was born Dec. 17, 1916, in Omaha. She graduated from Benson High School in 1936. She married Elmer Andersen in Omaha; the marriage ended in 1954.

Mrs. Andersen has been a resident of Fremont since 1973. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fremont. She was also a 50-plus year member of the Golden Rule Rebekah Lodge, the McKinley Chapter No. 161 Order of the Eastern Star of Blair, and the V.F.W. Post 12512 Auxiliary of Blair.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, the Rev. Fred and Pat Andersen of Elwood, and David and Imelda Andersen of Fallon, Nev., three grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and an infant daughter.

Ludvigsen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
