William “Roger” Grosnickle, 59

Former Blair resident William Grosnickle, 59, died June 11, 2005, at his home in Camden, Ark. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Des Moines, Iowa.
William “Roger” Grosnickle was born and raised in the Des Moines area, where he graduated from North High School. He served two years in the United States Navy on the USS Constellation during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the Millwright and Machinery Erectors Union in Omaha, and worked as a millwright for many years.
He is survived by his son, Justin Grosnickle of Omaha; mother, Eileen Johnson; sisters, Pat Dunahoo, Marge Sparks; brother, Larry Grosnickle, all of Des Moines; brother, Francis Grosnickle of Mesa, Ariz.; many nephews and nieces.
