Funeral services were Monday, November 19, at First Lutheran Church in Blair for Wilfred E. “Bill” Gutschow, 75, who died November 16, 1990, at the Memorial Community Hospital. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Wilfred E. Gutschow was born in Blair, Nebraska, on April 8, 1915, to Marie Nielsen and Chris Gutschow. He attended the Goll County School and Blair High School.

On January 3, 1939, he married Doris Beck at Papillion, Nebraska. They moved to Scribner, Nebraska, in 1943 and were in dairy and hog farming operation for 37 years. In 1980 they moved to Blair, where they resided until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Fred; and one sister, Jenny Larsen.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; four sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Nancy Gutschow, Bennington, Nebraska; James and Sue Gutschow, Sicklerville, New Jersey; Wilfred and Nancy Gutschow, South Sioux City, Iowa; and Jerry and Laraine Gutschow, Blair; eight grandchildren; one brother, Chris Gutschow, Fremont, Nebraska; four sisters, Erna Engelke, Margaret Metzler, both of Blair; and Catherine Giesselmann and Beulah Johnson, both of Fremont, Nebraska.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
