Stephanie Wahlers

Stephanie P. Wahlers, 29, of Fremont, formerly of Tekamah, died Sunday, April 3, 2011, as a result of injuries she suffered in a fire at her home in Fremont.

She was born Aug. 31, 1981, in Blair. She graduated from Tekamah-Herman High School. Her life-long career goal was in nursing. She was an emergency medical technician and CNS. She was employed at Arbor Manor in Fremont and Good Samaritan Home in Scribner.

Survivors include: her parents-grand-parents, Daisy and Pete Stork of Tekamah; mother, Cindy Wahlers; sister, Alicia Wahlers; and brother, Ignacio Serna, all of Fulton, MO.; and grandfather, Rudy Wahlers and family of Sioux City, Iowa.

The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Tekamah with Rev. Dr. Brian High officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Tekamah Cemetery.
