Eva Josephine Wakefield, Route 1, Fremont, died Thursday at Clarkson Hospital, Omaha, after a lingering illness.

She was born January 4, 1913, at Kennard. Mrs. Wakefield, a homemaker, had been a Fremont resident for more than 40 years and was a member of First Christian Church. She married Roy A. Wakefield on January 14, 1934. He survives.

Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Christine Wilder, Blair, and Mrs. Ann Sparks, Ames; two brothers, George Boock, Kennard, and Otto Boock, Fremont; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were a 2 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church with Rev. Doran F. Myers officiating. Visitation was at Bader-Rozanek-Lawson Funeral Home. Burial was at the Blair Cemetery.
