SERVICES HELD ON SATURDAY FOR GEORGE LANTRY
Funeral services for George Ellsworth Lantry, 75, who died January 14, 1981, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, were held Saturday, January 17, at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church. Rev. Owen Wilmot conducted the services. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.
George Ellsworth Lantry was born in Blair on May 16, 1905, to George and Bessie Brown Lantry. He married Opal Brewster, who preceded him in death. He was a floor installer and resided at Blair Trailer Court.
He is survived by two daughters, Norma Jean Anderson and Wanda Poulson, both of Blair; two sons, Ray Lantry of Blair and Lee Lantry of Elkhorn; and ten grandchildren. Two sisters, Elsie Fair, Beaumont, California; and Stella LaScalla, Crestline, California; and one brother, Gerald Lantry of Council Bluffs, Iowa, also survive him.
Mrs. Everett Ball was organist for the service.
Pallbearers were Don Jessen, Roy Brown, John Jensen, Gary Williamsen, Wayne Lambertz and Don Anderson.
Dr. C.D. Howard, R.D. Zimmerman and Merton Jensen were honorary pallbearers.
Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
