Services for Elsie M. Greunke, 94, of Fremont who died April 15, 1991, at Arbor Manor in Fremont were held Wednesday, April 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Rev. Burnell Beyers officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery.

Elsie Gieselmann was born November 23, 1896, in Arlington and grew up in the area.

She moved to a farm near Randolph in the 1920s, living there until February, 1944, when she moved to a farm near Arlington. In 1946, she retired and moved into Fremont.

She was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.

She married John Greunke February 4, 1920, in Arlington. He preceded her in death December 5, 1981.

She is survived by a daughter, Esther Hansen of Wayne; two sons, Virgil and Raymond, both of Fremont; a brother, Walter of Arlington; three sisters, Nora Franke, Edna (Mrs. Fritz) Bartling and Ella Gieselmann, all of Fremont; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the church.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont was in charge of arrangements for the services.
