Lewis F. Ward, 51, Was Buried At Kennard
Lewis F. Ward, son of Jessie and Carl Ward was born April 12, 1925 at Kennard, Nebraska and passed away on Saturday, May 22, 1976, at the Blair Community Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was united in marriage to Peggy Barron on August 4, 1946 and they continued to live in Kennard, Nebraska.
He was presently employed at Chapman Plumbing in Blair and was Chairman of the Village Board of Trustees until he withdrew from re-election due to ill health on May 1, 1976. He was active in many Kennard organizations.
He is survived by his wife Peggy, and three children, two daughters – Mrs. Robert (Roxie) Mues of Arapahoe, Nebr. and Mrs. Donald (Cheryl) Pittman of Arlington, Nebr., one son, Charles of Blair, Nebr., one granddaughter and three grandsons, two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Roma) Alexander of Lincoln and Mrs. Alfred (Jane) Wiese of Kennard, and three nephews, relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 25th at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. The Rev. Joseph Meyers conducted the service.
