Mr. Ward is Dead, Age 75
William Ward, Longtime Blairite, Dies; Funeral on Saturday
William Ward, 75, of Blair, died last Thursday morning at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair following a lingering illness.
The body was removed to the Bendorf Funeral Home. Services were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Methodist Church, the Rev. Melvon Ireland in charge. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ralph Jackson, Albert Lake, Henry Miller, Sam Haller, Clyde Allen and Roy Jacobs.
Mr. Ward was born Apr. 1, 1882, at Decatur. Surviving him are his wife, Laura; five sons, Morris of Omaha, Wilbur of Seattle, Wash., Louns of Los Angeles, Jack of Denver and Marshall of Kimball, Nebr.; also one daughter, Eldora, of Blair. There are several grandchildren.
