SAMUEL LARSON PASSES AWAY ON JUNE 3RD
Samuel H. Larson, Fort Calhoun, passed away on June 3, 1975, at the age of 84, and funeral services were held at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church on Friday afternoon. Sievers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements, and burial was held at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Samuel Larson was born on July 13, 1890 in Panama, Nebraska. He grew to manhood in the Fort Calhoun vicinity. On June 2, 1917, he married Ora Olson at Bennet, Nebraska. In 1948 they moved to California, he retired in 1966 and moved to Calhoun in July of 1968 to be near his son and his family.
Mr. Larson is survived by his wife, Ora; one son, Richard, of Fort Calhoun; one daughter, Mrs. John (Hazel) Perkins of Battle Creek, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Smith of Lincoln, Nebraska and Mrs. Gertrude Sieloff of Linden, California; nine grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends also survive.
