Camp Fontanelle Director Killed In Accident Sunday
Clarence Zicafoose, director of Camp Fontanelle, a Methodist Church camp just south of Fontanelle, was killed in an accident at the camp late Sunday afternoon.
It was reported that a barbecue was being held at the camp. Mr. Zicafoose was taking a group of youngsters on a tour of the camp. Zicafoose was driving a tractor which was pulling a trailer loaded with young people when the accident occurred.
Reports are that the tractor flipped over backwards pinning the driver underneath. Miss Loyal McCormick, of Tekamah, who was riding on the trailer, was pinned underneath Mr. Zicafoose. She was brought to Memorial Community Hospital where her injuries were treated and she was released. It was stated that her injuries would undoubtedly have been more severe had she not fallen underneath the driver.
Miss Vicky Snow of Tekamah was also treated at the hospital for gasoline burns.
