Mary Beth Uehling, 62

Mary Beth Uehling, 62, of Blair, died Aug. 31, 2008.

Services are 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Interment will be at the Blair Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at First Christian Church in Blair.

Mary Beth Wright was born July 1, 1946, in La Crosse, Wis., to Carl and Mona (Kirchner) Wright. She graduated from Mer Rouge High School in Mer Rouge, La., in 1964, and from the Louisiana Business College in Monroe, La., in 1965.

On June 17, 1965, she married Jerry Uehling in Morehouse Parish in Louisiana and they made their home in Blair, where she was a devoted wife and mother. Later, she worked for 15 years for Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Mrs. Uehling was a member of First Christian Church, the Golden Rule Circle, and the Blair Firefighters Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry, of Blair; daughter, Peggy, and fiancé, Lenny Carbone of Raleigh, N.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonita “Bonnie” and James Scroggins and Jane and Curt West, all of Bastrop, La., Jennifer “Jeni” and Don Bendily of Monroe, La., Nancy Wright of Rogers, Ark., and Kathy Gilbreath of Bastrop; brothers and sister-in-law, Eugene “Buddy” Wright of Bastrop, and Steve and Theresa Wright of Mer Rouge; sister-in-law and husband, Mary and Ned Miller of Blair; 20 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Uehling; father-in-law and a mother-in-law, Wilmore “Boney” and Opal Uehling; brother-in-law, Wilbur “Buggs” Uehling; and four nieces and nephews.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
