Services for Clara M. Westphalen, 83 of Fremont who died May 11, 1991 in Fremont were Tuesday, May 14 at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont. Dr. Jack Berry officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.

Clara M. Bruse Westphalen was born October 20, 1907 in Hoskins. She had lived in Fremont since 1929.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.

She married William Westphalen August 14, 1929 in Madison. He preceded her in death in December, 1958.

She is survived by two daughters, Florene (Mrs. James) Peterson and Margie (Mrs. Dennison) Callaway, both of Fremont; two sisters, Wilma John of Arlington and Mathilda Ohlund of Omaha; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the church.
