Aunt of Arlington Lady Died

Services for Mrs. Albert (Grace) Whitaker, 82, an aunt of Mrs. Walter Jones of Arlington, were held Monday afternoon at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel. Rev. John Swearingin officiated. Mrs. Whitaker died Thursday at a nursing home in Fremont. Mrs. Jones, prior to her marriage, made her home with her aunt for five years.

Mrs. Whitaker was born Feb. 10, 1882, in Avoca, Iowa, moving to Fremont about 64 years ago. She was married to Albert Whitaker, who died in Fremont August, 1935. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge.

Music was provided by Miss Doris Hatch and Mrs. Dennis Zakovec. Pallbearers were Melvin Updike, Myron Carlson, Clifford Wyman, G.E. Burrell, Louis Petersen and Fred Petersen. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery.

Other survivors are a son, Glen L. Whitaker of Los Angeles; daughters, Mrs. Victor (Viola) Krondak, Mrs. Kenwood (Twila Jeane) Christensen, both of Torrance, Calif., and Mrs. Robert (Alberta) Williams of Fremont; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A son, Earl L., preceded her in death.
