Burial Is In West Point For Bernard Vonderheide
Funeral services were Saturday, February 23, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point for Bernard Vonderheide, 86, of Wabash, Indiana. Rev. Godfrey Meiergerd officiated. Burial was in St. Michael’s Cemetery in West Point.
Bernard Vonderheide was born July 2, 1893, in Cuming County. He was injured in World War I and lived the last 59 years in the Wabash nursing home. He was the brother of the late Henry Vonderheide of West Point.
Survivors include a nephew, Bernard, Omaha; a niece, Mrs. Marie Hemmington, Herman; and other nieces and nephews.
The Ben Stalp Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
