Pearl N. Oerman, 81

Pearl N. Oerman, 81, of Herman, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at Nye Legacy in Fremont.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec 29, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Hooper. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation will also be Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery east of Hooper. Pearl Nadine Thomsen was born March 26, 1931, in Arlington to Pete and Matilda (Thompson) Thomsen.

She grew up in Arlington and was a graduate of Arlington High School.

On November 12, 1950, she married Leslie Oerman at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Arlington. She moved to the family farm north of Arlington in 1952.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Hooper.

She belonged to Saddle Clubs at Tekamah, Dodge and Arlington and was active in thoroughbred horse racing. She enjoyed horses and spending time in her garden.

She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Lonny Oerman and Leslie Jr. and JoNel Oerman, all of Herman; four grandchildren, Amanda Oerman, Lance Oerman, Lawson Oerman and Lindsay and husband, Mark Warner; three great-grandchildren, Jhett Warner, Chase Frazier and Vance Oerman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie in 2008; daughter, Deborah Oerman; grandson, Lane Oerman; brothers, Eddie and Herald Thomsen; and nephew, Terry Thomsen.
