Pilot 2 Oct., 1907
After a lingering illness John Klotz finally passed on to receive his reward at 2 o’clock last Wednesday morning at his home in Kennard. The funeral was held at the house at 1 o’clock on Friday. Grand Custodian French being in charge of impressive Masonic services.
Mr. Klotz was a prominent figure in Washington County and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was a native of Germany and came to this country in 1870, settling on a farm near Kennard.
For many years he took a live interest in Masonry and was a member of both the Chapter and the Commandery in this city.
Besides his faithful wife he leaves one son, Max, and one daughter, who resides in Germany.
