A private family service was held at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont for Raymond D. Wilkening, 75 of Fremont who died Thursday, June 28, 1990 at his home.

Raymond D. Wilkening was born January 16, 1915 on a farm north of Arlington. He was raised there and farmed there until moving to Fremont in 1987.

He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont.

He married Faye Schmidt on April 7, 1940 at Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle. She preceded him in death on June 14, 1990.

He is survived by one daughter, Judith Ann (Mrs. Ed) Miksch of Phoenix, Arizona; a son, James Wilkening of rural Arlington; one sister, Norma Bartling of Fremont; two brothers, Alfred Wilkening of Fremont and Henry Wilkening of rural Arlington; and three grandchildren.
