WOLF, LYDIA META LENA
Lydia Meta Lena Wolf was born May 21, 1903 at Arlington, Nebraska; the daughter of John and Minnie (nee Echtenkamp) Hilgenkamp. She was received into God’s Kingdom by Holy Baptism on June 14, 1903 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Arlington. Her Confirmation Vows were spoken on April 1, 1917 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Arlington.
On January 16, 1924, she was joined in marriage to Willliam H. Wolf. God blessed their marriage with three sons.
She was raised on the family farm and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School. Lydia and her husband farmed near Arlington. He died February 12, 1958 and she continued to live on the farm until moving into Arlington in 1967. She moved to the Skilled Care Center at Fremont in April 1987.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Ladies Aid, and Ladies Aid Quilters.
She departed this life on Friday, January 27, 1989, at the age of 85 years, 8 months, and six days.
She is survived by three sons, Harlan of Fremont, Delmar of Arlington and Dennis of Millard; 4 grand-children; Mary, Mark, Jodel and Jennifer; 1 great-grand-daughter; Courtney. One sister; Mrs. Walter (Elma) Wehmeyer of Fremont and one brother; Harvey Hilgenkamp of Arlington.
Her moral remains are laid to rest in St Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery following divine services at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on this day, January 31, 1989.
