SERVICES HELD FOR ALMA E. SAPPENFIELD
Services were held for Alma E. Sappenfield, age 73, Saturday, October 6, at 2 p.m. at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, Rev. Lynn Williams officiating. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
Alma E. Sappenfield was born January 11, 1906 at Florence, Nebraska and moved to a farm west of Fort Calhoun as a small child. She was married to Walter Sappenfield March 27, 1927. She and Walter resided in Fort Calhoun until she passed from this life on Thursday, October 4, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
Survivors include her husband, Walter; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Leah Jane) Nelson, of Fort Calhoun; 2 sons, Carl of Denver, Colorado; Richard of Omaha; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ida Stratbucker, Fort Calhoun; Mrs. Martha Smith, Gladstone, Oregon; and Mrs. Lena Love, St. Petersburg, Florida; and one cousin, Amanda Kay, Ft. Calhoun.
