Raymond R. Winn, 66
Raymond R. Winn, 66, died April 21, 2009, at his home in Oxford.
Graveside services were Monday, April 27 at the Kennard Cemetery.
Raymond Robert Winn was born Oct. 21, 1942, at Red Oak, Iowa, to Ross and Viola (Wram) Winn. He received his primary education at Red Oak and then graduated from Abraham Lincoln High in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
He was employed by the Fremont Department of Utilities and was responsible for water treatment maintenance.
On Aug. 20, 1966, he married Ruth Hodapp at Westphalia, Iowa.
In 1990, he moved to Lexington, where he was employed in water maintenance for IBP. In 1998, he relocated to Oxford. While there, he was employed by Brooks Ford until his retirement in 2005.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Heath Griffen of Fremont; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Sara Winn of Lincoln; five grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Ross and Judy Winn of Omaha, sister Cindy Hinkel of Fremont; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Curtis and Larry Winn.
A memorial has been set up in his memory to establish a college fund for his grandchildren.
Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
