Frank Wolff Died Early Wednesday

Mr. Frank Joseph Wolff passed away at his home at 2104 Lincoln St., Wednesday morning, November 25th, at the age of 74 years.

He was born at Blair on June 22, 1890 to Mr. and Mrs. Victor Wolff. Upon his return from overseas duty in World War I he was united in marriage on July 1st. 1918 to Miss Louise Bolln.

They lived in Ft. Calhoun, where Mr. Wolff operated a meat market until 1935. While at Ft. Calhoun their two children, Bette (Mrs. Floyd Triplett) and Fritz were born.

Mr. Wolff later operated a grocery store in Blair until 1949. From 1950 to 1956 he owned a furniture business in Blair.

He was a member of the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and served as a vestryman. He was also a member of the VFW, American Legion and World War I Vets Assoc. His interest in baseball lasted his whole lifetime. He played on many local teams as well as on a Nebraska State League team.

Survivors besides his wife and two children are Ray Wolff of Miami, Florida and Tom Piper of Torrence, California, who were raised in the Wolff home from the age of 12 years. Also ten grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ida Beckman of Los Angeles; and two brothers, Arthur and Louie Wolff of Omaha.

Funeral services will be at the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, November 28th, at 10 a.m. Father Wm. Shattuck will officiate and the Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
