Lydia M. Wolf, 85

Lydia M. Wolf, 85 of Arlington died Friday, January 27 at the Skilled Care Center in Fremont.

Born May 21, 1903 at Arlington, where she grew up on the family farm, she attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School, north of Arlington. Her parents were John and Minnie Echtenkamp Hilgenkamp.

She married William H. Wolf at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on January 16, 1924. They farmed north of Arlington. She continued to live on the farm until 1967 when she moved into Arlington. She moved to the Skilled Care Center in April 1987.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, the church’s Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Ladies Aid and the Quilters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William, who died February 12, 1958.

She is survived by three sons, Marlen “Bill” of Fremont, Delmer of Arlington and Dennis of Omaha; a sister, Mrs. Walter (Elma) Wehmeyer of Fremont; a brother, Harvey Hilgenkamp of Arlington; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held January 31 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Rev. Dennis Maaske officiated. Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

A memorial will be established in her memory.

Ludvigsen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
