Father of Former Blair Lady Died in Iowa

George E. Wood of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April 14th at the age of 93. Mr. Wood is the father of Mrs. Carlton Draper, former Blair lady.

Services were held on Wednesday, April 17th, at the Sellergren Lindell Funeral Home at Red Oak. Rev. Faille Strickler and Rev. Scott Libbey officiated. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Red Oak.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hazel Wood, and Mrs. Carlton Draper.

Mr. Wood was an Executive with the Thomas D. Mercy Calendar Publishing House of Red Oak. Mr. Wood also organized the first Boy Scout Troop in Iowa.
