Mrs. John, Betty G. Anderson, 59, of Arlington died of congestive heart failure Sunday, May 3, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha.
She was born January 23, 1928, in McClelland, Iowa. She grew up in Omaha and lived for two years in Fremont before moving to Arlington in 1955. She was a member of Arlington Community Church.
Betty Langford married John Anderson, February 7, 1948, at Omaha. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, James of Kearney and Thomas of Santa Monica, California, three brothers, Mahlon Wickersham and Bill Langford, both of Omaha, and Joyce Wickersham of Council Bluffs, Iowa; a sister, Peggy Campbell of Irvine, California and one grandchild.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Arlington Community Church. The Rev. Robert Saunders officiated. Burial was in Arlington Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Memorials may be given to the church.
Pallbearers were: LeRoy Brown, Bob French, Ray Pfeiffer, Herman Neuhaus, Gordon Spangler and Andy Svendgard.
Honorary Pallbearers were: Melvern Hilgenkamp, Dr. Dean Bloch, Gary Timm, Melvin Sorensen, Jack Schlapfer, Elmer Nelson, Marlin Scheer, Gerald Russell and Leo Rosenkilde.
Organist was Mrs. Ruby House and Soloist was Mr. Melvin Misfeldt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Cora G. (Statler) Langford; and a stepsister, Mary.
