E. Maude Wright, 91, died Sunday, January 3, 1988, at Skyline Manor in Omaha.

Maude was born on August 27, 1896, at Kansas City, Missouri, to Dye and Elizabeth Beard George.

She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with her degree in education.

Before and after her marriage, she dedicated her talents to youth in the elementary education field.

She was married to William Wright on March 22, 1918, at Des Moines, Iowa.

When opening an insurance agency in 1932 in Sioux City, Iowa, she became office manager for the company.

In 1975, Maude and her husband moved to Skyline Manor in Omaha and lived there until her death.

She was Past President of the Quota Club in Sioux City, a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and a member of the First Methodist Church in Omaha.

Maude is survived by two sons, Harold Wright of Blair; William Henry Wright, Minnetonka, Minnesota; and one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Steinkamp of Naperville, Illinois. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and by one sister, Mrs. Belle Willey, of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her husband William in August, 1976, and by one sister, Pearl Willey.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 8, 1988 at the Campbell Funeral Home with Dr. Howard Bailey officiating.
