Peter Tweed, who for a number of years has lived alone in his dug out west of Herman, was found dead Saturday morning.

At his home, 3 miles southwest of Herman, Nebr. occurred the death of Peter Tweed, who for a number of years past has lived the life of a Hermit. He was found dead in the yard Saturday morning. The funeral was held from the Lutheran Evangelical church. Rev. E. H. Hinkle officiating, and the remains were laid away in the Thone cemetery. Deceased was born in Norway Dec. 26, 1833, and died Jan. 4, 1908, aged 75 years and 11 days.
