Sene M. Nelsen, 86, DIED FRIDAY IN FREMONT
Sene M. Nelsen, a long-time resident of the Village of Washington in the south part of the county, died Friday at a nursing home in Fremont where she had lived for the past three years.
She was born August 15, 1884 in Denmark and had come to this country with her parents in 1891. The family settled in the vicinity of Washington village and she spent all of her life there until moving to Fremont for retirement care.
She is survived by two nieces, Agnet Larsen and Hulda Ludwig, of Omaha, and by a nephew, Elmer Nielsen, of Kennard.
Funeral services will be held today (Monday) at the Bendorf Funeral Home in Blair and burial will be made in the Prairie View cemetery south of Kennard. The Rev. Norman Schroeder, of Bennington, will conduct the services.
