Melvin Lambert was born July 16, 1927 in Plainview, Nebraska, the son of William and Dora (Sebade) Lambert. Mel grew up in the Plainview area, prior to his family moving to the Wall area where Mel spent most of his life.
Melvin was united in marriage to Georgia Kitterman and to this union were born three children.
Mel worked in the construction business and later became everyone’s favorite handyman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In February 2008, Melvin moved into the Good Samaritan Center in Centerville, South Dakota, where he has since resided.
Survivors include his son Kelly Lambert and his wife Suzie of Rapid City; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Melvin was preceded in death by his wife Georgia; his son Richard; his daughter Debbie Lester; his parents; and his brothers and sisters.
