CHARLES TRIPLETT DIED FRIDAY
FUNERAL WAS HELD AT THE BEN MCMANIGAL HOME SUNDAY AFTERNOON, JULY 29TH
Charles Triplett passed away at the Mrs. Ben McManigal home on east Nebraska street, from cancer of the stomach, from which he had been suffering for some time, though he had been in a serious condition but a few days.
He was born in Marengo, Ia., July 26th, 1853, so was just one day past 75 years of age. He was united in marriage to Miss Adeline Kelly, of Logan, Ia., in 1880 and three sons and five daughters were born to them. His wife and two sons, Ray and Harry, preceded him in death.
The surviving children are Dora Triplett and Mrs. Frank Harding of this city; Mrs. Maude Oakley and Mrs. Ruby Glantz of Winnebago; Mrs. Cora Strong of Nacora; and Jess Triplett of Winnebago. All were present for the funeral service at the McManigal home at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, Rev. L.J. Moran officiating. Interment was in the Blair cemetery.
Mr. Triplett was a carpenter by trade and had made his home at Mondamin, Ia. the greater part of his life.
