Former Blair Business Man Dies
The Omaha Sunday papers contained a notice of the death of Mr. L. A. Mangold, veteran photographer of that city, on Thursday, Jan. 19.
Mr. Mangold, with his family lived in Blair for a number of years, removing to Omaha about twelve or fifteen years ago.
The report comes to this office that Mr. Mangold had gone to the home of his brother-in-law for dinner on that day and had apparently been in good health but expired shortly after eating. Since his wife’s death a few years ago, he has maintained his home, having his older daughter, Zella and his son, Louis at home with him. Besides those mentioned above, the following children survive, Ed and Katherine in California and Ralph and Curtis of Omaha.
Mr. Mangold engaged in the photograph business while here and was considered an artist in his lien and one of the best photographers at the time in the state.
His family made many friends in Blair and vicinity who have pleasant recollections of their residence in Blair and who extend sympathy to the children in their sorrow.
