GWEN RAND, 83
Services for Gwen Rand, 83 of Blair who died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair January 8, 1996 will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 11 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Gwen Rand was born May 4, 1912 at Hoskins, Nebraska to William and Nellie Webster Stephens. She moved to Tekamah with her parents during her infancy. She attended school in Tekamah, graduating from Tekamah High School in 1931.
She received her licensed practical nurses degree in 1971 and worked in hospitals in California, Omaha and Blair.
She married Dave Mummert. He preceded her in death in September of 1969.
On October 21, 1990 she married Jacob Rand in Blair.
She was a member of the Missouri Valley Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob Rand; her children, Mary K. Connealy, Decatur, Nebraska; Robert Chase, Tekamah; H.J. Cramer, Herman; Grant Chase, Lincoln, Nebraska; Annelle Bruno and Charles Chase, both of Phoenix, Arizona; one step-daughter, Ruth Muchmore, Omaha; 17 grandchildren: Joanna Ellingson, Diane Sheets, Randy Olson, Sandy Haack, Cindy Spiker, Leah Uehling, Kenny Uehling, Jerri Christ, Scott Chase, David Chase, Brandi Petersen, Andrea Schultz, Amy Marr, Erin Bruno, Abby Chase, Heather Chase, Tyler Chase; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Gammel, Tekamah and one sister-in-law, Wubbena Rand, Blair.
