GENE RASMUSSEN, FORMER BLAIR MAN, DIED APRIL 9th
Gene M. Rasmussen of Hastings, Nebraska, formerly of Blair and Fremont, passed away Wednesday evening, April 9th at the age of 44 years after a lengthy illness.
He was the son of George M. and Elenore Rasmusssen of Blair. He was born on December 22, 1924. On August 24, 1947 he was married to Arlene Hass.
Survivors are his wife, Arlene; daughter, Cheryl; father, George M. Rasmussen; sister, Mrs. James (Erma) Andreasen of Kennard. Gene’s mother and brother, Duane preceded him in death.
Services were held at First Lutheran Church in Blair, on Saturday, April 12 with burial in Lincoln Lutheran Cemetery at Orum. Bendorf Funeral home was in charge.
Pallbearers were R. Harold Rasmussen, Ivan Rasmussen, Bill R. Rasmussen, Darrell Flake, Donald Jorgensen and Eldon Stork.
