Funeral services were held Saturday, July 18, at Bader-Rozanek Funeral Chapel in Fremont for Dorothy E. Anderson, 81, of Fremont, who died Wednesday, July 15, 1981, at Arbor Manor Nursing Home after a brief illness.

Rev. Conrad J. Schmitz of Sinai Lutheran Church conducted the services. Burial was in Salem Lutheran Cemetery at Fontanelle.

Dorothy E. Anderson was born Dorothy Niebaum on April 7, 1900, in Fontanelle. A retired homemaker and former sales clerk for the Spence Shoppe, she had lived in Elkhart, Indiana and Fontanelle, but had spent the last 25 years in Fremont. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Fremont.

She married Mark D. Anderson on May 1, 1923, in Fremont. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1955.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Anderson of Elkhart, Indiana; and James Anderson of Boston, Massachusetts; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a niece and a nephew.
