LARS C. RASMUSSEN BURIED TUESDAY
Lars C. Rasmussen, retired farmer living at 1748 Butler Street in Blair, died here Saturday, July 12th. He was a life-long resident of the county and was well-known here.
He was born March 2, 1893, in Washington County and lived here his entire life. He was 76 years old at the time of his death. As a youth he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
Following his marriage to Josephine Petersen in Omaha in 1919, he engaged in farming which he followed until his retirement in June 1967. He farmed 4 miles north of Bennington in the Dornacker School District.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine; and by a daughter, Mrs. Edgar (Lorraine) Frahm, of the Ft. Calhoun area. A brother, R.C. Rasmussen, lives at Plainview, Nebraska. There are four grandchildren and one great-grandson. A brother, P.C. Rasmussen of LaSalle, Colorado preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Campbell Mortuary in Blair and burial was made in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The Rev. Norman Schroeder conducted the service.
Pallbearers were Duane Rasmussen, Maynard Rasmussen, Raymond Schneider, Raymond Schuldt, Fred Gregerson and Henry Kniep.
