#1-15 Mar., 1905 - The Pilot - Verdie Pate
Verdie, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Pate, died Tuesday morning. She was taken sick some four weeks ago with inflammatory rheumatism and a complication of diseases followed. Through all her suffering she was very patient and even thoughtful for those taking care of her. She was a very sweet and winsome little girl and loved by all who knew her. Had she lived until March 29, she would have been ten years old. After a short service at the home Wednesday afternoon, the body was taken to Kennard for burial. Mr. and Mrs. Pate have the heartfelt sympathy of a wide circle to friends and neighbors.
