Services Held in Blair for Rose Matthiesen
Services were held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on Wednesday, December 28, for Rose Matthiesen who died Sunday, December 25, 1977, at the age of 92 at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair. Reverend Robert Bee officiated at the services. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.
Rose Matthiesen was born in Kennard, Nebraska, August 17, 1885, to Frank and Bertha Munster Jahnel. She was married to Edward Matthiesen and was a housewife. She lived at Good Shepherd Home at the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Matthiesen.
She is survived by two daughters, Fredricka Wilson, Blair and Louise Magee, Mount View, California. One sister, Mrs. Elsie Dornacker, Blair, and four grandchildren also survive her.
Mrs. Clare Cowing was organist for the services. Pallbearers were John Blatter, J. Stu Maurer, LeRoy McCann, and Rymer Fedde.
Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
