Mr. and Mrs. James Reeh, who live near Ft. Calhoun, lost their only child, Vernon Ardin, aged 5 years, 3 months and 29 days, of scarlett fever yesterday, after an illness of about two weeks. The funeral was held at the home this afternoon, Rev. J.A. Johnson, pastor of the M.E. church of this city, officiating. Burial was in the Blair cemetery. Jim is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Reeh, who live in the Orum neighborhood. Mrs. Reeh was formerly Miss Pearl French, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reese French. The bereaved parents and relatives have the sincere sympathy of many friends.

OBITUARY - Vernon Ardin Reeh, only child of James and Pearl Reeh, was born at Kennard, Nebraska, October 21, 1917 and died near Ft. Calhoun, Nebr., Feb. 19, 1923, aged 5 years, 3 months and 29 days.
