Boyd A. Mather, 60
Boyd A. Mather, 60, of Blair, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Bergan-Mercy Hospital in Omaha. Memorial services were Thursday, Dec. 31, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
Boyd Arthur Mather was born July 3, 1949, in Omaha to Raymond and Nina (Freeman) Mather.
He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and Marines.
On April 20, 1997, he married Brenda Rutz in Elk Point, S.D.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction business and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; children; Kolby, Kollena, Boyd Jr. and Jessica Mather all of Blair, and Brian Hamilton of Kansas City, Mo.; father Raymond “Jim” Mather of Kennard; two sisters and brothers-in-law; Judy and Rex Flint of Little Sioux, Iowa, and Christie and Tom Moore of Dakota City; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Cindy Mather of Stanwood, Wash., James and Teresa Mather of Oceanside, Calif., and Donald and Aksana of Kodiak, Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nina; grandparents, Ervin and Elva Mather, Edward and Grace Freeman; and twin nephews, Jeb and Josh.
