EDWARD RHOADES

Services for Edward Rhoades, 72, who died at the Blair Hospital on November 25, 1986, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 28, at First Lutheran Church.
Rhoades was born on October 7, 1914, at Parsons, Kansas to Edward T. and Mary Alice Rhoades. L In 1935 he moved to Blair where he resided until his death.
He was united in marriage to Kathryn Swingholm on July 31, 1937. Rhoades worked for Kelly Ryan manufacturing until 1956 at which time he started and operated Rhoades Electric. He retired in 1973 due to ill health. He also served in the Navy during WWII.
Rhoades is survived by his wife Kathryn of Blair; two daughters: Mrs. John (Janet) Glanta of Omaha, Mrs. Eugene (Linda) Kruse of Herman; one son, Edward Rhoades Jr. of Blair; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Rhoades of Parsons, Kansas, and Clarence Rhoades of Burbank, California; and one sister, Anna Marie Woodson of Claremore, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers were John Derry, Arnold Frahm, Fred Gilliland, Bill Gutschow, Roy Kirk Jr., Larry Moore and Dale Robinson.
Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
