HATTIE RICHARDS TO BE BURIED ON FRIDAY
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 18, at Campbell Funeral Home for Hattie E. Richards, 89, of Good Shepherd Home, who died February 15, 1983, at Good Shepherd Home.
The Rev. Russell Saltzman will conduct the services. Burial will be at New Lutheran Cemetery in Norfolk, Nebraska.
Hattie E. Richards was born November 10, 1893, in Norfolk, Nebraska to Henry and Wilhelmina Wangerin Appel. She was confirmed at Christ Lutheran in Norfolk and attended school there.
She married David F. Richards August 30, 1913, in Madison, Nebraska. They moved to Washington, Nebraska, in 1932. She was a homemaker.
In 1954, after her husband’s death, she moved to Blair. She moved to Good Shepherd Home in 1980.
She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David, in 1954, and one brother.
She is survived by two sons, David Richards, Omaha, and Donald Richards, Norfolk, Nebraska. Two grandchildren; and three sisters, Frieda Jefferies, Columbus; Mrs. Earl (Rose) Briard, Norfolk; and Mrs. Henry (Agatha) Johnson, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, also survive her.
Clare Cowing is organist. Homer Nielsen will provide the vocal music.
Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
